Coffee consumption more adverse consequences on the health of the
eyes, so it is important not to cross the limit of three cup of coffee
per day.
Scientists from Harvard University say that those who drank more than 3
cups of coffee a day are exposed to greater risk of having glaucoma,
which can cause poor vision and blindness more.
"Coffee
with caffeine has many health advantages, but drinking more than 3 cups
a day can increase the risk of having glaucoma, especially in people
who have had genetic predisposition to glaucoma," said research leader
prof. Jae Hee Kang.
Part of this studimni were about 79,000 women and 41,000 men. No participant has suffered from glaucoma, Koha.net broadcasts. All participants completed the survey who had questions about their habits, including the amount of coffee that drink every day.
professor,
Kang with its professional team studied Scandinavians who lead in the
number of people suffering from glaucoma, as well as the amount of
coffee you drink. In this research they have found that the consumption of excessive
amounts of coffee had increased risk of glaucoma by 66 percent. When the participants of this research are compared with Scandinavians, prof. Kang and his team found that people from the group of Americans who
drink excessive amounts of coffee, also have a higher risk of having
glaucoma.
However,
scientists, whose research is published in the journal "Investigative
Ophthalmology & Visual Science", point out that other products that
have caffeine in their composition does not increase the risk of
creation of glaucoma are therefore needed further research .
